EXECUTIVE AI TRAINING

Use AI with confidence

Practical AI training for executives who want to use today's chat-based AI tools effectively in their own work.

Over five two-hour sessions, participants learn by using models and tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, DeepSeek and Microsoft Copilot for real tasks — from research and presentations to spreadsheets and building a simple web page.

The aim isn't to make executives AI specialists. It's to make AI a useful part of how they work, while understanding where it can go wrong and how to use it safely.

01 / WHY TRAINING

Reading about AI isn't the same as using it

Using AI effectively is a skill, and the quickest way to develop it is by doing it.

The training is deliberately practical. Rather than spending ten hours explaining how generative AI works, participants use it to tackle recognisable tasks and learn where different approaches and models help — and where they don't.

That includes learning how to recognise hallucinations, what information should not be put into public AI tools, and why apparently useful individual experimentation can create shadow AI risks for the organisation.

02 / WHAT WE COVER

From chat window to working tool

01 — USE

Working with different models

Hands-on experience with models such as ChatGPT, Claude and DeepSeek, alongside tools such as Microsoft Copilot, subject to which tools are available and approved for use within your organisation. The objective isn't to declare a “best” model, but to understand that different tools behave differently and learn how to work effectively with them.

Research and analysis

Use AI to explore a subject, structure research, interrogate information and develop a view — without assuming that a confident answer is necessarily a correct one.

Presentations and documents

Use AI to develop, structure and improve material for presentations and other executive work rather than simply asking it to write everything for you.

Spreadsheets

Learn how AI can support work with spreadsheets, including helping with formulas, analysis and working with data.

02 — BUILD

Build something

Create a simple one-page website to experience how far conversational AI can take a non-specialist from an idea to something that works.

03 — JUDGE

Hallucinations and verification

Understand why models sometimes produce plausible but incorrect answers, how to recognise the warning signs, and when outputs need independent verification.

Safe use and shadow AI

Understand what not to put into AI systems, the risks created when people adopt tools outside organisational controls, and how to experiment without creating unnecessary exposure.

03 / FORMAT

Ten hours, with time to use what you learn

The programme is delivered as five two-hour sessions.

In-person delivery works best because participants can work through exercises together, compare what different models produce and ask questions as they arise. The programme can also be delivered online.

What participants learn can be applied immediately in their own work. Each session then builds on that practical experience.

05 / FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Frequently asked questions

Do we need any technical knowledge?

No. The training is designed for people using AI through chat interfaces, not for developers.

Which AI tools do you cover?

The programme uses models and tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, DeepSeek and Microsoft Copilot. Exactly which are used will depend partly on what is available and approved within your organisation. The emphasis is on learning techniques and judgement that transfer between tools, rather than becoming dependent on a particular product.

Is the training in person?

Preferably. It works particularly well when people can work through exercises and compare results together. It can also be delivered online.

Can the training be extended to others in the organisation?

Yes. By arrangement, the same practical training can be provided to other groups within the organisation. The emphasis remains on using chat-based AI effectively and safely — including what these tools are good at, where human judgement remains necessary, what information should not be shared with them, and how individual use relates to organisational policies and controls.

Do attendees receive a certificate?

Yes. Everyone completing the programme receives a certificate of attendance.
